POW/MIA Recognition Day Friday
In honor of National POW/MIA Recognition Day, members of the 12th Flying Training Wing will hold a wreath laying ceremony and missing man flyby Sept. 16 at 5:30 p.m. at Bldg. 100.
The United States' National POW/MIA Recognition Day is observed across the nation on the third Friday of September each year. On this day, Americans across the United States pause to remember the sacrifices and service of those who were prisoners of war, as well as those who are missing in action and their families. All military installations fly the National League of Families' POW/MIA flag, which symbolizes the nation's remembrance of those who were imprisoned while serving in conflicts and those who remain missing.
Traffic will be rerouted around Washington Circle beginning at 4 p.m. Expect delays and road closures.
